Landscape

The landscape proposals for the site:

  • Are designed to respect the local landscape and heritage setting, including key views to St Cecilia’s Church and the wider landscape.

  • Retain existing trees and hedgerows where possible, with generous green infrastructure and varied landscape areas.

  • Improve pedestrian and cycle links, including enhanced public rights of way, to create spaces to relax, play, connect and grow.

  • Create a wetland meadow along the River Ash to support biodiversity, sustainable drainage and play opportunities near the village.

  • Create a central linear park with views to the church, with west-east and north-south pedestrian links.

  • Set development back from St Cecilia’s Church with an open space buffer to protect the Grade I listed building’s setting.
